When I invited you to the Home Business Summit back in June, one of the things I promised those people that came with me was that I would show them my journey after the summit.
Today is the first post where I do this. I will share this information with you too. I hope it helps you and I hope that it inspires you to take action and free yourself from the chains of your ugly, boring, soul-sucking 9-5 job.
You too can make money online through a home based business.
So without further ado, this is my journey. Welcome.
The Home Business Summit focused on marketing, specifically online marketing. So I’ve been learning about online marketing and I came to a point where I accepted that I am indeed a marketer, always have been and probably always will be.

I couldn’t hide from this fact, but I was doing it all wrong, I didn’t have a system. Over the past month, I’ve been learning and taking steps towards setting up my system and today the system is ready, the framework has been built and now it’s just a matter of filling my funnel and adding content and additional pieces to the system.
What is the system I’m talking about? The system I’m using is called My Top Tier Business, MTTB for short. It’s a 21 step guide towards generating huge commissions online. Basically I sell and promote products ranging from $10, to $15000, and I get to make commissions of $1000, $3000 and $5000. I’ll tell you more about that later, but that’s not the focus of this post.
In order for me to sell a high-ticket item, I must get interested people involved, so I had to come up with a plan. I learned from Marlon Sanders, that marketing is really simple. There are three steps to it in fact. Target, List & Offer.
That’s it, and Marlon explains it clearly in this 2 min video I recorded of him during the HBS in Long Beach. The three steps are simple: You have to target responders, you need to add them to your list and you need to make them an offer.
So I set out to do this exact thing. I put my ideas aside and followed instructions from my mentors and guides. I started thinking, how could I offer over-the-top value so that I could have people in a list where I can make them an offer?
I have two options, and these are not mutually exclusive.
Option one. Send offers to buyers and ask them to join the My Top Tier Business system. Then the system takes care of the rest. This is my next step. But for now I chose to transform my free website service into a business and use it to generate leads. This is my first step, yours may be different and if you’re new to the internet and don’t have experience, I would recommend you follow MTTB to the t, step by step. I will cover this in an upcoming blogpost as well.
Option two is to simply promote MTTB and MOBE through solo ads, ppc, social media or any other means necessary. Once a lead is in the system, the sales funnel kicks in and the phone team takes care of the rest. Yes My Top Tier Business has a phone team to actually close the sales for you.
I went with option one because my free website offer has been very lucrative so far. I may be complicating things for myself but in the long-run this is how I want to build my business. In essence I’m adding about 3 additional steps in front of MTTB so that I can establish a more personal long-lasting relationship with my customers.
I planned for long enough and started to feel like I wasn’t moving much and I remembered what I always preach: done is better than perfectly planned. So I started, even though I didn’t have all the pieces of the puzzle quite figured out.
Done is better than perfect.
The principle behind building a system is to remove yourself from the equation and continue to earn.
I still have a few rough edges and still figuring it all out but I’m so far ahead of where I was a month ago and even 2 days ago. In one all-nighter session last night I pretty much “whipped it out” many pieces are done.
I transformed my free website offer in a few ways. Instead of just having the offer posted here on my personal blog, I developed a brand for it and created the offer around an entire system. You can take a look at realfreewebsite.com you may have to copy and paste that address in, I’m not ready to link to it yet since I’m going to launch it publicly in a few days.
The way the free website works for my business is like this. Interested parties come to the site and find that they too want to get a free website, they enter their email address to request more information. I send them information detailing how to get a free website and give them an opportunity to get started. If they don’t take action, I will send them a value-packed series of emails explaining the benefits of a website, how easy it is to work with my websites, and offering more information to help them make a decision.
When they choose to get the free website then they will buy hosting and I get a commission, in turn I set up their website and they can be on their way with a kick-ass website ready to take on the world. This process lets me interact with them, get to know them, and it positions me as the go-to expert.
Not only did I help them build their website, but I also got to know them. I’ve already made several friends from this just because I really get to hear their story, their pains and struggles. Businesswise, I also get a chance to help them improve their overall marketing approach and monetization options. When you combine my 13 years of experience and ability to think outside the box and come up with creative solutions, it’s a win win situation. They get an incredible value-packed service and I get a customer for life. I know that when they are ready to invest more in their business, they’ll do it with me.
Some of the tools and process go a little like this
For this system, I’m using several tools. The landing page you see at realfreewebsite.com is built with LeadPages; perhaps one of the most useful tools I’ve ever come across. I highly recommend you get it now. Then Leadpages connects to Aweber to send the emails and autoresponder sequence. There is also a blog that is secondary to this, and that’s powered by WordPress.
Once a visitor requests the information for the free website, I begin developing rapport and providing information to help them make an informed decision. After they have their website built I will remain in contact with them and guide them towards a more profitable path online. This is how you develop a life long customer, by providing unparalleled value and solutions to their problems and helping them solve the challenges everyday as entrepreneurs.
So that is my initial framework and configuration.
